Betrayal

Betrayal takes many forms. This might look like emotional betrayal, lying, financial infidelity, or broken promises. Other forms include withholding communication and failing to be there for your partner emotionally.

I specialize in supporting couples looking to recover from the pain of betrayal. Together, we will make sense of how you got here, develop tools to rebuild trust, and explore what the future holds. During our sessions, I’ll use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide you in exploring and expressing your emotions as they come up, and also to identify patterns in your relationships. I also use the Gottman Method’s foundational tools to help you rebuild trust and commitment.

Communication

Persistent bickering?

Same conversation again and again?

Not having conversations at all?

However your dynamic presents, I’m here to support you in making changes towards a healthier communication style.

Together, we’ll assess what areas you excel at and where you need some extra help. If needed, we’ll learn and practice foundational communication skills that help partners share their emotions more effectively. Once the groundwork is laid, we’ll explore the impact of your actions and emotions, and practice expression that creates understanding and connection.

Connection / Intimacy

I see relationship like a bonfire - they need tending! Sometimes they’re burning hot, and sometimes you need to throw on a log.

The nature of a bonfire, like a relationship, is that is goes through different stages. This is all part of the process!

Together, we’ll explore ways to deepen your connection to each other, and get curious about what caused the fire to dim in the first place. I recognize that intimacy is sacred and vulnerable, so we’ll move at a pace that feels safe and good for everyone.
